Corey Kluber is the ace the Yankees need

Corey Kluber is the difference maker and impact arm the Yankees need atop their rotation.  In 2017 and 2018, Yankee fans wished ace-like status on Luis Severino, but his inconsistencies have left him just short of owning the name.  Kluber, 32, has been the definition of consistent for the Cleveland Indians, winning 18+ games four out of the last five years and winning 20 games in 2018 for the first time in his career. Kluber has posted an ERA below 3.50 every season since 2014, and has struck out at least 220 hitters in the same span. Kluber keeps getting better, and is not showing any signs of regression. Kluber is an ace, the ace the Yankees need.

BBB Podcast #12: Nathan Eovaldi injury, Alex Rodriguez retirement, and the youth movement

In this podcast, BBB writers Steven Eareckson and James Grande discuss a plethora of Yankee-related concerns. Beginning with their takes on the ceremonial sendoff of Alex Rodriguez, and the events leading up to it, and concluding with their opinions on the Yankees recent youth movement, Steven and James touch upon a number of issues on the minds of Yankees fans. Though the two may not have agreed on much in the past when it comes to the Yankees, Steven and James surprisingly found some common ground on the current state of the ball club.

For the first time in a long time, the Yankees are genuinely exciting to watch. The call ups of Gary Sanchez, Aaron Judge, and Tyler Austin have ignited what had been a stagnant Yankees team. As we look ahead to the rest of the season, the Yankees find themselves in the thick of the wild card hunt. While it may be a stretch to see them in the playoffs this year, it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility. Needless to say, we're excited to see what the rest of the season has to offer!
