Torreyes' wife is reportedly ill and he will be heading back to NYC to accompany her for tests. Torreyes is hitting .323 with the Yankees, but has been on the Scranton Shuttle as of late due to the Yankees' roster crunch.  In 31 AB with the RailRiders, he has only put up a .194 BA.  Triple-A manager, Bobby Mitchell, said it was more important for Toe to be with his wife in this circumstance.

We here at Bronx Bomber Ball wish Toe all the best, and look forward to seeing him back on the field.
